Environment

At design & display we are working to reduce, reuse and recycle in order to deliver ethical and environmentally friendly solutions to your business and ours.

By replanting trees and using board suppliers that are FSC® (Forest Stewardship Council®) or PEFC™ ( Programme for Endorsement of Forest Certification) certified, design & display are actively reducing their impact on the environment as products are only manufactured from timbers that are from properly managed and sustainable sources.

We reuse all our waste wood to heat our factory which not only eliminates the need for landfill but reduces our use of fossil fuels. Being based in the beautiful Yorkshire Pennines, we also supply free of charge, waste sawdust to local farms to be reused as bedding for animals. We continue to look for new opportunities to recycle. To complement our existing policies of bringing end of life units back to our factory for disassembly to recycle all waste metals, plastics and wood and recycling all paper-based office products, we have recently been authorised as a Biomass supplier. We now recycle our waste wood by manufacturing and supplying heat briquettes as an alternative fuel source.

d3 and the Environment

We bring end of life units back to our factory for disassembly so that we can ensure all waste metals, plastics and wood are recycled. We reuse waste wood to heat the factory and reduce the use of fossil fuels.

We are FSC® (Forest Stewardship Council®) chain of custody certified and our products are manufactured from timbers that are sourced from managed and sustainable sources.  We also have a tree planting programme reducing our impact on the environment.
